Funeral of MirEsmail Mousavi, father of Iranian opposition leader MirHosein Mousavi was interrupted by security forces and at least seven people were arrested.
Kaleme website reports that a large crowd had gathered at the home of MirEsmail Mousavi for his funeral. MirEsmail Mousavi passed away at the age of 103 yesterday at his home.
According to the opposition website, a large number of security forces and plainclothes pro-government agents were also at the site.
The crowd reportedly carried the body through the streets but after some time at 15 Khordad Street the government forces forced the body into an ambulance and carried it away.
People’s protests were responded with beatings and threats and led to the arrest of seven people.
Ali Shakourirad, former lawmaker and member of reform party Islamic Iran Participation Front, Hojjatoleslam Norolelahian, a reformist cleric, as well as MirHosein Mousavi’s brother-in-law and son-in-law are amongst the detainees.
Ali Shakourirad was released some hours later but the rest still remain in custody.
Eyewitnesses also report the arrest a young woman at the scene.
According to other reports a commemoration ceremony scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled by the authorities. Several political prisoners, who had been given a furlough for Norooz, Iranian New Year, have also been called to report back to prison ahead of time, according to the opposition website.
MirEsmail Mousavi is a cousin of Seyed Javad Khamenei, father of the current Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.
Kaleme has also indicated that Ayatollah Khamenei took shelter for some time before the 1979 Revolution at the very home MirEsmail Mousavi passed away.
MirHosein Mousavi visited his father every week before the opposition leader was put under house arrest.
Kaleme reports that MirHosein Mousavi and his wife were allowed to visit his father’s body last night. According to Kaleme, Mousavi invited his family to exercise patience despite the “harsh and inappropriate” behaviour of the officials at the scene.
MirHosein Mousavi and his wife Zahra Rahnavard have been under complete house arrest since the opposition leaders called for an opposition rally in support of the recent Arab uprisings on February 14.
The demonstrations led to the death of two protesters, tens of injuries and close to a thousand arrests.
The other opposition leader, Mehdi Karroubi and his wife Fatemeh Karroubi have also been put under house arrest since.

حمله مأموران امنیتی به مراسم تشییع پیکر پدر میرحسین موسوی
تشییع جنازه پیکر میراسماعیل موسوی، پدر میرحسین موسوی با دخالت و حضور پرشمار نیروهای امنیتی نیمهتمام ماند. دستکم هفت نفر بازداشت شدند
به گزارش تارنمای کلمه، امروز در محله درخونگاه واقع در جنوب تهران، محل زندگی میراسماعیل موسوی، جمعیت انبوهی حضور یافته بودند تا پیکر وی را تشییع کنند
میراسماعیل موسوی پدر میرحسین موسوی، از رهبران مخالفان دولت ایران روز گذشته در منزل خود درگذشت
در مراسم تشییع پیکر وی نیروهای امنیتی و لباس شخصی حکومت ایران نیز حضور چشمگیری داشتند
بنا بر این گزارش این نیروها «جو امنیتی و پلیسی بسیار سنگینی در مراسم ایجاد کرده بودند.» آنها پس از آنکه شرکتکنندگان به خیابان ۱۵ خرداد وارد شدند، پیکر میراسماعیل موسوی را با «فشار و تهدید و فریاد» به آمبولانس منتقل کرده و بردند
شرکتکنندگان نسبت به این اقدام نیروهای امنیتی اعتراض کردند اما تلاش آنها برای جلوگیری از آن نتیجهای نداد
با ادامه اعتراضها مأموران به ضرب و شتم حاضران پرداخته و دستکم هفت نفر را بازداشت کردند
علی شکوریراد، نماینده مردم تهران در مجلس ششم و عضو جبهه مشارکت ایران اسلامی؛ میرحسن حبیبی موسوی، پدر علی حبیبی موسوی، خواهرزاده میرحسین موسوی که در ششم دیماه ۱۳۸۸ در روز عاشورا کشته شد؛ سلیمی، داماد میرحسین موسوی و حجتالاسلام نوراللهیان، معاون وزیر اطلاعات در زمان محمد ریشهری و از روحانیون فعال در ستاد انتخاباتی میرحسین موسوی در دهمین دوره انتخابات ریاست جمهوری در ایران؛ از بازداشتشدگان امروز هستند
به جز علی شکوریراد که پس از دو سه ساعت در بیابانهای اطراف بهشت زهرا رها شد، بقیه هنوز در بازداشت هستند
همچنین حاضران در مراسم شاهد بردن دختر جوانی توسط نیروهای امنیتی بودند و هنوز از تعداد دقیق بازداشتشدگان اطلاعی در دست نیستتارنمای کلمه همچنین از بهشت زهرای تهران، گزارش داده است در حالی که پیکر میراسماعیل موسوی برای تدفین به بهشت زهرای تهران منتقل شده، پلیس ضد شورش و نیروهای امنیتی در آنجا نیز حضور پررنگی داشتند و فضای سنگین امنیتی، بهشت زهرا را به حالت نیمهتعطیل درآورد
از سوی دیگر بر اساس خبر دریافتی برنامه مراسم ترحیم میراسماعیل موسوی که برای روز یکشنبه در نظر گرفته شده بود از سوی مقامات امنیتی لغو گردید
میراسماعیل موسوی، پسرعمه جواد خامنهای، از مجتهدان مشهد و پدر آیتالله علی خامنهای، رهبر کنونی جمهوری اسلامی ایران بود و در دوران انقلاب ایران، آیتالله خامنهای مدتی در خانه وی پناه داشته و در همین خانه که پدر میرحسین موسوی جان سپرد، زندگی میکردمیرحسین موسوی پیش از بازداشت هر هفته به دیدار پدر میرفت و هر روز تلفنی جویای حال وی بود. وی در مدت حصر خانگی تنها یک بار با حضور نیروهای امنیتی به همراه زهرا رهنورد توانست پدر خود را ملاقات کند
به گزارش تارنمای جنبش راه سبز (جرس) موسوی شب گذشته نیز در میان مأموران امنیتی به خانه پدری رفت و با میراسماعیل موسوی وداع گفت. مأموران امنیتی از این دیدار با دوربینهای مختلف فیلمبرداری کردند
میرحسین موسوی و زهرا رهنورد از ۲۶ بهمنماه ۱۳۸۹ بهطور کامل در بازداشت خانگی قرار گرفتهاند
این بازداشت در پی تظاهرات مخالفان حکومت ایران در روز ۲۵ بهمن صورت گرفت که طی آن دو جوان بهنامهای صانع ژاله و محمد مختاری کشته، دهها نفر زخمی و نزدیک به هزار نفر بازداشت شدند
این تظاهرات به دعوت میرحسین موسوی و مهدی کروبی و به پشتیبانی از مردم مصر و تونس برگزار شد اما به دلیل یورش مأموران امنیتی به تظاهرات ضد دولتی تبدیل گشت
مهدی کروبی و همسرش فاطمه کروبی نیز هم زمان با موسوی و رهنورد در بازداشت خانگی به سرمی برن
