Iran announced that it has arrested Israeli spies with links to Ron Arad foundation, an organization which offers rewards for information about Ron Arad, Israeli soldier missing in action.
“A significant number of people” linked to the Rod Arad website or “deceived by the site” have been identified and arrested, Iranian minister of intelligence Heydar Moslehi said.
He added: “A number of these individuals were arrested and others have been identified and are being exploited for further penetration into the Mossad intelligence system.”
The detainees will be prosecuted according to the amount of information they have passed on to Israeli agents.
“If those who have been deceived by the spying site of Ron Arad foundation identify themselves and collaborate with the intelligence forces, there will certainly be room to consider reductions in their punishments,” Moslehi stated.
Moslehi’s allusion was to the 10million.org website operated by Born to Freedom Foundation NGO which offers $10 million reward for “proven information leading to soldiers missing in action,” including Ron Arad, an Israeli Air Force navigator who was shot down over Lebanon in 1986.
Moslehi contended that “the Zionist regime has been running this institution inside the Islamic Republic of Iran and neighbouring and even Islamic states in the form of an NGO since 20 years ago under a humanitarian cover.”
He added that they try to “lure people from various countries in order to use them to monitor intelligence and other activities in Islamic countries.”
“Website organizers try to deceive people with monetary rewards. Fortunately almost all the people in Iran who were linked to this organization and those were deceived by it have been identified;” Iranian intelligence minister said.
He added that those who fail to voluntarily report their links with the site to the authorities by February 11 will receive heavy penalties.
Iran has reported the arrest of “Israeli spies” several times in the past year. Iranian authorities maintain that they have arrested tens of “Israeli spies” but so far none have been identified.
In November, Ali Akbar Siadat was hanged in Tehran convicted of espionage activities for Israel.
Two years ago, another prisoner identified as Ali Ashtari was executed as an Israeli intelligence agent.
Iranian intelligence minister recently announced that his ministry has penetrated the Israeli intelligence network in Iran which according to Moslehi was also responsible for the assassination of Iranian university professor, Massoud Ali-Mohammadi.

به گزارش خبرگزاریهای ایران، حیدر مصلحی گفت وزارت اطلاعات توانسته است «بخش قابل توجهی» از افرادی که با سایت بنیاد رون آراد مربوط بودند و «فریب این سایت را خوردهاند» شناسایی و دستگیر کند
مصلحی افزود: بخشی از این افراد دستگیر و بخشی هم برای نفوذ در سیستم اطلاعاتی موساد مورد بهرهبرداری قرار گرفتهاند و بقیه هم شناسایی شدهاند
وی گفت متناسب با وضعیت افراد دستگیرشده و میزان اطلاعاتی که این افراد در اختیار سرویس اطلاعاتی اسرائیل قرار دادهاند با آنها برخورد میشود
وزیر اطلاعات ایران گفت: «افرادی که فریب سایت جاسوسی بنیاد رون آراد را خوردهاند اگر تا قبل از ۲۲ بهمنماه خود را معرفی کنند و با سیستم اطلاعاتی همکاری داشته باشند به طور یقین تخفیفاتی درباره آنها صورت خواهد گرفت.»
رون آراد، خلبان جنگی اسرائیل بود که در ۱۶ اکتبر ۱۹۸۶ در جریان بمباران لبنان هواپیمایش سقوط کرد. گفته میشود که وی با چتر نجات خود فرود آمده و زنده است اما از آن زمان تاکنون اطلاعی از وی در دست نیست و از او بهعنوان گمشده جنگی یاد میشود. اسرائیل معتقد بود که آراد در دست نیروهای شیعه امل اسیر است
حسن نصرالله، رهبر حزبالله لبنان در ژانویه ۲۰۰۶ برای نخستین بار از سرنوشت رون آراد سخن گفت و اعلام کرد که وی کشته شده و احتمالأ بازمانده جسد وی از بین رفته است. حزبالله لبنان از نیروهای نزدیک به ایران و سوریه در لبنان است
بر اساس خبرهای منتشر شده، یک گزارش مخفی ارتش اسرائیل نیز اعلام کرده است که آراد بر اثر بیماری در سال ۱۹۹۵ درگذشته و در البقاع لبنان به خاک سپرده شده است
پس از این ماجرا و مفقود شدن چند نظامی دیگر از ارتش اسرائیل، بنیاد «متولد آزادی» وبسایتی به نام ۱۰ میلیون داتاورگ به زبانهای مختلف، از جمله فارسی راهاندازی کرد که در آن اطلاعات ارسالی در مورد نظامیان گمشده ثبت میشد و به کسانی که اطلاعات موثقی ارسال میکردند ۱۰ میلیون دلار جایزه تعلق میگرفت
حیدر مصلحی که احتمالأ این بنیاد را مورد نظر دارد گفت: رژیم صهیونیستی در جمهوری اسلامی ایران و کشورهای اطراف و حتی اسلامی در قالب انجیاو این بنیاد را از ۲۰ سال پیش راهاندازی کرده که ظاهری فریبنده و بشردوستانه هم به آن داده شده است و به دنبال این هستند که افرادی را از کشورهای مختلف جذب و به مجموعه خود دعوت کنند تا از این طریق بتوانند کار اطلاعاتی یا اقدامات مختلفی که در کشورهای اسلامی انجام میشود را رصد کنند
وی افزود: گردانندگان این سایت سعی میکنند، افراد را با پول بفریبند. خوشبختانه تقریبأ تمام کسانی که از کشور خودمان با این سایت ارتباط برقرار کردهاند و بعضأ فریب این سایت را خوردهاند، شناسایی کردهایم
وزیر اطلاعات گفت دستگاه قضایی ایران برای کسانی که تا قبل از ۲۲ بهمن ماه خود را معرفی نکنند مجازاتهای سنگینی تعیین خواهد کرد
مسئله «جاسوسی اسرائیل در ایران» از سوی دستگاه قضایی جمهوری اسلامی در یک سال اخیر بارها مطرح شده و در این رابطه به گفته مقامات امنیتی ایران دهها نفر دستگیر شدهاند که نام آنها هیچگاه منتشر نشده است
در روز هفتم دیماه سال جاری نیز علیاکبر سیادت، زندانی امنیتی در ایران به اتهام جاسوسی برای دولت اسرائیل اعدام شد که نام او پس از اعدام اعلام گردید
در سال ۱۳۸۷ نیز فرد دیگری به نام علی اشتری به اتهام جاسوسی برای اسرائیل اعدام شد
حیدر مصلحی چندی پیش، از نفوذ سازمان اطلاعات ایران در موساد و دستگیری افرادی مرتبط با سازمان امنیت اسرائیل خبر داد که به گفته وی در ترور مسعود علیمحمدی، استاد دانشگاه، دست داشتند
