MirHosein Mousavi, Iranian opposition leader expressed defiance in the face of recent threats from Islamic republic government figures and warned the establishment that such propaganda would only backfire.
In a report on Kaleme website, Mousavi, the chief challenger of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s victory in the 2009 elections, condemned the recent government statements and described them as worn out tactics used by totalitarian regimes such as Soviet Union in the Stalin era.
In recent months, Iranian senior officials including top judicial authorities have repeatedly attacked the opposition leaders, MirHosein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi, insisting that they will soon to be prosecuted for their role in the post-election protests as “leaders of sedition.”
Mousavi maintained that the “unfair content” of such attacks makes them “ineffective” and will make them backfire. He went on to add that such attacks merely attest to the “legitimacy and vitality” of the Green Movement.
The protest movement against the alleged vote fraud in the 2009 elections in Iran has been referred to as the “Green Movement.”
Mousavi goes on to tell the authorities: “As I indicated in my 17th announcement you should ignore people like me and without any attention to us, release the prisoners and announce that you are committed to the constitution. Give freedom to the media and set up free and non-selective elections. You will then realize, the horizons have lightened up. Otherwise more oppression will only result in heavier demands.”
Mousavi also added that this kind of publicity along with continued crack down and arrests will eventually make people lose faith in reform in the framework of the current constitution.
The opposition leader maintained that in the current atmosphere, power mongers are creating deep rifts in society but the forces of the Green Movement according to Mousavi, “ are trying to overcome these rifts by keeping alive the space for debate and national dialogue and by practicing tolerance.”
He added: “Being Green does not mean that we want everyone to assume our colour…Being Green is living side by side with understanding for differences and variety in votes, ideas and tastes.”
Mehdi Karroubi also responded to the recent government attacks earlier saying he is more than ready to stand in an open and public trial so that people would get a chance to hear both sides and judge for themselves.

میرحسین موسوی، راه و روش حاکمیت در تبلیغات علیه جنبش سبز و طرفداران آن را «متعلق به دوران قدیم» دانست و گفت آنها از شگردهایی استفاده میکنند که در رژیمهای توتالیتر، شبیه شوروی دوران استالین و یا رومانی زمان چائوشسکو، استفاده میشد
در دو هفته گذشته و بهویژه پس از آن که محمد خاتمی، در اظهاراتی کف خواستههای اصلاحطلبان در انتخابات مجلس سال آینده را اعلام کرد، حامیان دولت دست به حملهای همهجانبه به خاتمی، موسوی، و کروبی زدند و صدا و سیما نیز در بخشهای مختلف خبری خود شعار مرگ بر خاتمی، موسوی و کروبی را به وضوح پخش کرد
میرحسین موسوی در پاسخ به این حملات در مصاحبهای که از سوی کلمه منتشر شده، ضمن بیاثر خواندن این تبلیغات گفت: «این ده روز فرصت خوبی برای شناخت ملت ما از ماهیت این آقایان بود. این همه دروغ و تهمت نشان داد که اسلام حضرات چگونه اسلامی است»
وی سخنان احمد جنتی مبنی براین که «امریکا از طریق عربستان یک میلیارد دلار» به سران جنبش سبز کمک کرده را نمونهای از این دروغها آورد و وی را «پیشنمازی» خواند که «علیرغم این بهتان و دروغ، موقعیت رسمی خود را حفظ کرده است»
موسوی اضافه کرد: «اینها نمیتوانند درک کنند وقتی کسی که به خاطر یک کبک، یک انسان محترم را به قتل رسانده ادعا کند شخص عالمی مثل آقای خاتمی قرآن را نمیفهمد و یا بنده و خانم رهنورد را به نقل از یک نویسنده درگذشته، که از ترس مردم به اروپا گریخت و در آنجا فوت کرد، فراماسون مینامند، مردم چگونه با این ادعاها روبرو می شوند»
وی سپس با بیان این که «اینها روی گوبلز را در جعل و دروغگوئی سفید کردهاند و تهمت و دروغ را جزئی از دیانت متحجرانه و توام با خرافات خود قرار دادهاند» یکی از دلایل «دلیری اینان برای گفتن دروغهای بزرگ» را «اعتقاد ریشهای بخشی از حاکمیت به خس و خاشاک و بزغاله و گوساله بودن میلیونها نفر از مردم» دانست
موسوی سپس با ذکر چندین دروغ دیگر ازجمله ادعای دبیر کل موتلفه مبنی بر «پذیرش شمارش بخشی از آرا توسط موسوی»، این سخنان را تکذیب کرد و با بیان این که «حجم تحریف و دروغ و تهدید بالارفته» گفت: «اعدامهای فلهای و محکومیتهای عجیب هم برای کمک به مرعوب کردن بکار گرفته میشود. مهمتر، گسترش فرهنگ اعترافگیری و تواب سازی است که از درون زندانها به فضای سیاسی بیرون منتقل شده و شما اگر میخواهید در معاملات بزرگ و کوچک سهیم شوید باید فهم و بصیرت لازم را برای محکومیت منتقدان و معترضان جنبش سبزداشته باشید»
وی با تاکید بر این که «حتی از حوزهها و مراجع عظام نگذشتهاند و شاهد فشارها و جسارتهای گوناگون علیه روحانیت و مرجعیت هستیم» تصریح کرد: «داخل همین خانوادههای دست اندر کاران، توجه به خواستهای مطرح شده درجنبش سبز در حال گسترش است، چرا که این مطالبات مطابق با حقوق مردم و میثاق ملی ماست»
موسوی استراتژی اصلی را همچنان «آگاهی بخشی» و راهکار اصلی را «هر شهروند یک رسانه» دانست و گفت: «لشگر پرشمار آگاهی بخشی و اطلاع رسانی از دل وسایل سادهای که عصر اطلاعات در اختیار آنها گذاشته موثرترین شیوهها را با خلاقیت خود برای رساندن پیام حقیقت پیدا کرده و میَکند»
وی در پایان با یادآوری «خاطره بحثها و گفتگوهای صمیمانه روزهای انتخابات» و «زنجیره سبزی که تمام اختلافات و تفاوتها را از جنوب تا شمال شهر و کشور به هم پیوند میداد» تاکید کرد: «سبز بودن زیستن در کنار یکدیگر با درک تفاوتها و اختلاف آراء و نظرات و سلایق یکدیگر است. اگر اقتدارگرایان و رسانه هایشان می کوشند ترکهای ایجاد شده در خانوادهها و جامعه را پررنگ کنند، ما باید بکوشیم با پذیرفتن این اختلافها نسخهای برای زیستن مسالمتآمیز در کنار یکدیگر ارائه کنیم. آگاهی بخشی در عین مسالمت، موثرترین سلاح علیه خشونت و پراکندن بذرهای تفرقه و جهل است»
