A few hundred inmates at Tehran’s Evin prison are reported to have been denied phone calls since 17 of them launched a hunger strike in late July, RFE/RL’s Radio Farda reports.
There are an estimated 200 political prisoners in Evin prison’s Ward 350, many of them journalists, students, and civil activists who were arrested during the crackdown following the controversial June 2009 presidential election.
Seventeen of them went on a hunger strike in late July to protest what they called mistreatment by prison guards and the violation of their rights. Although the strike is over, the prisoners are still deprived of making phone calls to their families, the mother of one prisoner told RFE/RL.
Parvin Mokhtare, mother of hunger-striking human rights activist and journalist Kouhyar Goudarzi, told RFE/RL that the prisoners’ families have no news about their children, even those who did not participate in the hunger strike.
She said prisoners have been told they will be allowed to make phone calls only if they write a letter of recantation.
It’s unclear if the apparent ban on phone calls applies to all prisoners held in Ward 350 or political prisoners only.
According to the opposition Kalemeh website, the authorities have ordered prisoners to write a letter expressing remorse for protesting against mistreatment by prison guards and for launching the hunger strike. Prisoners have also been told to ask for forgiveness from prison authorities.

تلفنها در بند ۳۵۰ اوین همچنان برای معترضان قطع است
یکی از شروط زندانیان اعتصاب کننده بند زندان اوین، برقراری تماسهای تلفنی با خانوادههایشان بود حال ۵۰ روز پس از آن ماجرا و با وجود پایان یافتن اعتصاب غذای آنها همچنان تماسهای تلفنی این زندانیان سیاسی و عقیدتی قطع است
«تلفن ها خراب است»، «باید ندامتنامه بنویسند تا تلفنها وصل شود»، «وزارت اطلاعات اجازه نمیدهد که تلفنها وصل شود»، اینها پاسخهایی است که خانوادههای زندانیان سیاسی و عقیدتی بند ۱۵۰ اوین در این پنجاه روز از مسئولان زندان اوین میشنوند. جعفر شجونی، عضو جامعه روحانیت مبارز و از حامیان محمود احمدینژاد چندی پیش در یک برنامه تلویزیونی وضعیت زندانهای دهه شصت را این گونه توصیف می کرد
«ولله شهید لاجوردی به من میگفت… من آنجا ده روز رفتم سخنرانی… میگفت بیا برو نگاه کن. ما استخر درست کردیم، جکوزی درست کردیم، برای همین مجاهدین. جوانی که چهل و هشت تا ترور دارد، الان تو جکوزی دارد صفا می کند
اگرچه نسبت به توصیف آقای شجونی از زندانهای دهه شصت تردید جدی وجود دارد و زندانیان آن سالها وجود استخر و جکوزی در زندان را تایید نمیکنند، اما حتی با فرض صحت این گفتار و به رغم توصیفی که آقای شجونی از زندانهای دهه شصت داشت، این روزها وضعیت زندانها کاملاً متفاوت است و البته زندانیان نیز متفاوت
زندانیان بند ۳۵۰ زندان اوین را فعالان دانشجویی، مدنی و سیاسی و روزنامهنگارانی تشکیل میدهند که در وقایع بعد از انتخابات دستگیر و بازداشت شدند
اما حال بیش از ۵۰ روز است که تماس تلفنی روزانه این زندانیان قطع شده است. درست از فردای روزی که ۱۷ زندانی این بند در واکنش به بدرفتاری زندانبانان بند ۳۵۰ دست به اعتصاب غذا زدند، تماسهای تلفنی آنها قطع شد و حتی ۱۷ روز بعد که آنها دست از اعتصاب غذا کشیدند، همچنان نمیتوانند با خانوادههای خود تماس بگیرند. پروین مخترع، مادر کوهیار گودرزی، یکی از زندانیان بند ۳۵۰ اوین از آخرین وضعیت زندانیان این بند چنین میگوید
«من از هفته قبل، دوشنبه هفته قبل، که کوهیار را دیدم، اطلاعی ازش ندارم. همه خانوادهها هم بیاطلاع و نگران هستند و کلیه تماسهای بعد از اعتصاب غذای بچهها تلفنی بند ۳۵۰ قطع شده است. حتی کسانی که اعتصاب غذا هم نداشتند، تلفنهای آنها هم قطع شده است. حالا نمیدانیم که فرزندان ما بیست روز انفرادی بودند و خواستهایی هم داشتند که به خواستهایشان نرسیدند. حالا تازه در اتاق تلفنخانه قفل است
به گزارش سایت کلمه، زندانیان سیاسی بند ۳۵۰ بارها به قطع تماس تلفنیشان اعتراض کردهاند. اما هر بار پاسخهای متفاوت از مسئولان این بند شنیده اند. از جمله آنکه خرابی تلفنها را عامل اصلی قطعی تلفنها می دانند. اما خانم مخترع مادر کوهیار گودرزی که فرزندش به تازگی جایزه باشگاه ملی مطبوعات آمریکا را از آن خود کرده، این را تنها بهانهای برای وصل نکردن تماس این زندانیان میداند
«بعضی مواقع گفته شده که تلفن ها خرابند و داریم تعمیر میکنیم و از این چیزها. یک بار یکی از دوستان ما که مراجعه کرده بود به یکی از مسئولان و گفته بودند تلفنها را دارند تعمیر میکنند. در صورتی که چنین چیزی نیست و در اتاق تلفنخانه قفل است و تلفنها هم مشکلی ندارد. کمااینکه خانمهایی که در بند ۳۵۰ هستند، آنها تماس تلفنی دارند
پروین مخترع در عین حال مشروط کردن برقراری مجدد تماس زندانیان سیاسی بند ۳۵۰ به نوشتن ندامتنامه را تایید کرده و میگوید
«گفته شده به فرزندان ما که بیایید تعهد نامه بدهید. حالا حق و حقوقشان را که نتوانستند در این مدت بگیرند، تقاضاهایی داشتند به آن هم نرسیدند، بیست روز هم انفرادی بودند، و آن اعتصاب غذا هم کرده بودند، نمیدانم تعهد برای چه باید بدهند. تعهد بدهند که فرزندان ما را بیست روز بردند انفرادی، بچههای ما آنجا اعتصاب غذا کردند مریض شدند، تعهد بدهند که چه شود. فقط بچههای ما باید تعهد بدهند؟ آقایان تعهدی ندارند. هیچ کسی تعهدی نسبت به بچههای ما و نیست به ما ندارد؟ فقط ما متعهدیم برویم امضا کنیم و تعهد بدهیم و قول بدهیم و بنویسیم؟
آنگونه که سایت کلمه نوشته است، زندانیان این بند باید با نوشتن این ندامت نامه از اعتراض خود نسبت به بدرفتاری زندانبانان این بند و اقدام به اعتصاب غذا ابراز ندامت کرده و از مسئولان زندان طلب بخشش کنند. بهمن احمدی امویی، کوهیار گودرزی، کیوان صمیمی بهبهانی، عبدالله مومنی، مجید دری، علی ملیحی، حسین نورانینژاد و علی پرویز از جمله زندانیان سیاسی عقیدتی بند ۳۵۰ اوین هستند که پس از اعتصاب غذا حتی از حق تماس تلفنی هم محروم شدهاند. حقی که خانوادههای آنها و شماری از حقوقدانان بر این باورند که قابل داد و ستد و یا مشروط کردن برای انجام اقدامی نیست
