Basij forces and bikers have gathered in front of Mehdi Karroubi’s home today to prevent him from participating in the Qods Day events.
Saham News reports that pro-government forces have gathered outside the opposition leader’s home since eight o’clock this morning.
The report goes on to add that once the crowd gathered at his home, Basij forces broke the windows of the house and a few hours after the gathering, once the security forces withdrew, numerous bikers surrounded the streets around Karroubi’s home and tried to enter his house.
Mehdi Karroubi had announced earlier that he planned on joining the Qods Day events and the pro-government forces are clearly making sure the opposition leader is prevented from doing so.
Mehdi Karroubi’s home has been the target of these attacks for the past four nights, and last night, reportedly, four people were injured in the course of shootings.
Head of Mehdi Karroubi’s guards, who attempted to talk to the attackers, was beaten and taken to the hospital unconscious.
The attackers have cut off all the street lights. In another attack, water pipes were also damaged and the water to the house was cut off.
The attackers tried to enter Karroubi’s home last night which forced Karroubi’s bodyguards to shoot into the air.
Mehdi Karroubi has issued a message to apologize to his neighbours and warn people against approaching his home.
MirHosein Mousavi also issued a statement condemning these attacks.

در پی حملات گسترده شب گذشته به منزل مهدی کروبی، امروز صبح نیز نیروهای بسیج و موتورسواران در مقابل منزل کروبی تجمع کردند و مانع از حضور وی در راهپیمایی روز قدس شدند
به گزارش تارنمای سحام نیوز، نیروهای طرفدار دولت ایران امروز، جمعه، مصادف با روز قدس از ساعت هشت صبح در مقابل خانه مهدی کروبی، از رهبران مخالفان دولت، تجمع کردند
طبق این گزارشات پس از تجمع این افراد و حمله به خانه کروبی، نیروهای بسیجی شیشههای خانه را شکستند و با گذشت ساعتی از این تجمع و کنار کشیدن نیروهای انتظامی، گروه کثیری از موتورسواران تمام کوچههای اطراف منزل کروبی را محاصره کرده و قصد ورود به خانه را داشتند
منابع آگاه این حرکات را به منظور جلوگیری از حضور مهدی کروبی در راهپیمایی روز قدس میدانند
مهدی کروبی چند روز پیش اعلام کرده بود که قصد دارد در راهپیمایی قدس شرکت کند
همچنین گزارش میشود که در حملات شب گذشته به منزل کروبی بر اثر تیراندازی، چهار نفر مجروح شدند که از حال این افراد تا این لحظه خبری در دست نیست
سر تیم محافظان مهدی کروبی که برای صحبت با این افراد به سمت آنان رفته بود، مورد ضرب و شتم قرار گرفت به حالت اغما فرو رفت. وی به سرعت به بیمارستان منتقل شد
افراد مهاجم تمامی چراغهای خیابان را قطع کردند. همچنین در اقدامی دیگر لولههای انتقال آب تخریب شد و موجب قطع آب گردید
این افراد پس از شکستن درب منزل اقدام به ورود به ساختمان کردند و نیروهای محافظ مجبور به تیراندازی هوایی شدند
افراد مهاجم با سردادن شعارهایی علیه مهدی کروبی به پرتاب سنگ و پاشیدن رنگ بر روی ساختمان محل سکونت مهدی کروبی مبادرت ورزیدند که با استقرار نیروهای یگان ویژه، اقدام به عقبنشینی کردند
کروبی طی پیامی ضمن پوزش از همسایگان خود از مردم خواست تا از حضور در اطراف منزل وی به شدت خودداری کنند
در پی حملات شب گذشته، میرحسین موسوی، از دیگر رهبران مخالف دولت ایران، پیامی منتشر کرد و این حملات را «نشان از ره گمکردگی اقتدارگرایان» دانست
موسوی حملات پیدرپی به منزل مهدی کروبی را «بهترین نشان خوف اقتدارگرایان از جنبش مردمی و نیز بهترین دلیل برای ابزاری شدن همه شعارها و مراسم و مناسک اسلامی و انقلاب» خواند
همچنین میرحسین موسوی و همسرش زهرا رهنورد با مهدی کروبی تلفنی تماس گرفته و اعلام کردند «متاسفانه این افراد چیزی از آبروی کشور باقی نگذاشتهاند و وضع کشور را به این صورت درآوردهاند
مهدی کروبی در پاسخ گفت: آنچه که اکنون مهم است، دفاع از آزادی و حقوق بر حق مردم است
