Sixteen detainees in section 350 of Evin Prison have reportedly started a hunger strike.
Kaleme website reports that these sixteen individuals who were transferred to solitary confinement have started a hunger strike in protest to their transfer.
The detainees were transferred because of their protests against “being ill-treated” by the prison officials.
Reportedly amongst the detainees were Bahman Ahmadi Amouyi and Keyvan Samimi, two journalists who started a hunger strike as soon as they were transferred to the solitary on Monday. The other fourteen were transferred to the solitary later on Tuesday and joined the hunger strike.
The detainees demand an apology from the officials and a return to the general section of the prison.
The Islamic Republic has arrested thousands of people in an attempt to quell widespread protests to the alleged electoral fraud which led to reelection of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Many of these people have been sentenced to heavy prison terms and scores have reported being mistreated in prison.

گزارشهای رسیده از زندان اوین تهران حاکی از اعتصاب غذای شانزده زندانی سیاسی بند ۳۵۰ این زندان است
به گزارش وبسایت کلمه، این شانزده نفر که به سلولهای انفرادی ۲۴۰ اوین منتقل شده اند، در اعتراض به این انتقال دست به اعتصاب غذا زدهاند
ماموران بند ۳۵۰ اوین، روزهای دوشنبه و سهشنبه جاری این افراد را به دلیل اعتراض به رفتار «نامناسب» ماموران و مسئولان زندان و شرایط نامناسب این بند به سلولهای انفرادی منتقل کرده بودند
بنا به این گزارش بهمن احمدی امویی و کیوان صمیمی، روزنامهنگاران زندانی، ظهر دوشنبه به سلول انفرادی منتقل شدند و از همان روز اعتصاب غذای خود را آغاز کردند. ۱۴ زندانی معترض دیگر ساعت سه بامداد روز سه شنبه مجبور به ترک بند عمومی ۳۵۰ شدند
علی ملیحی، حسین نورانی نژاد، عبدالله مومنی، علی پرویز، حمیدرضا محمدی، جعفراقدامی، بابک بردبار، ضیا نبوی، ابراهیم(نادر)بابایی، کوهیار گودرزی، مجید دری، مجید توکلی، غلامحسین عرشی و پیمان کریمی آزاد زندانیانی هستند که طی روزهای چهارشنبه و پنجشنبه دست به اعتصاب غذا زده اند
این زندانیها اعلام کردهاند که تا تحقق خواسته هایشان دست از اعتصاب بر نمیدارند. «پوزش ماموران و مسوولان زندان از زندانیان به خاطر رفتار نامناسب و همچنین بازگرداندن تمامی این شانزده زندانی به بند عمومی» از جمله خواستههای اعتصابکنندگان است
خانوادههای زندانیان سیاسی بند ۳۵۰ اوین از قطع تلفنهای این بند از روز دوشنبه چهارم مرداد ماه خبر دادهاند. گفته میشود که امکانات رفاهی این بند نیز در روزهای اخیر محدود شدهاست.
پیش از این گزارشهایی از وضعیت نامناسب رفاهی و بهداشتی این بند منتشر شده بود۲۹ خردادماه گذشته نیز اعلام شد که مسئولان زندان اوین، زندانیان سیاسی بند ۳۵۰ زندان اوین را وادار به انجام «کار اجباری» در زمینه «کارهای ساختمانی» کردهاند. دلیل این کار اجباری، آغاز «ساخت و ساز در زندان» و «نبود جای مناسب برای زندانیان» اعلام شد
هم اکنون بیش از ۲۰۰ نفر از بازداشتشدگان رخدادهای پس از دهمین انتخابات ریاست جمهوری ایران در بند ۳۵۰ اوین نگهداری میشوند
در یک سال گذشته هزاران نفر از معترضان به «تقلب» در انتخابات ریاست جمهوری بازداشت شده و به اعدام، تبعید و حبس های طولانی محکوم شده اند
