The country’s Highway Patrol announced: 27 deaths in the last 24 hours
Colonel Alborzi announced 27 deaths and 230 wounded on the road accidents during the past 24 hours. The Highway Patrol Deputy of Operations said: “In the last 24 hours, there has been 21 accidents that led to deaths and 135 that led to injuries of which 27 people were killed and 230 wounded.
He stated that 62 of these accidents were due to cars rolling over, he said: 36 counts of these accidents were as a result of diversion to the left, 34 counts violating the speed limit, and 28 counts due to lack of attention to the front of them.
He called the worse accident in the past 24 hours, the rolling over of a Patrol on Shiraz-Sepidan Freeway in Fars Region and said: In this accident which was for sure due to speed limit violation, 5 people were injured.
