Ramin Mehmanparast, speaker for Iran’s foreign ministry announced that Shahram AMiri, the missing Iranian nuclear scientist has left the US and is on his way to Iran.
Iranian media reports that Mehmanparast attributed the return of Amiri to the efforts of the Islamic Republic and the “effective cooperation” of the Pakistani Embassy in Washington and added that he left the US Wednesday morning and will return to Iran through a “third country.”
The spokesman for the foreign ministry reported that Amiri is reportedly in “peace and good health.”
Reuters reports that US foreign minister, Hilary Clinton said on Tuesday that Shahram Amiri came to the US “freely” and is therefore free to leave the country whenever he wants.
Clinton also urged Iran to release the three US hikers and release some information about Robert Levinson, the formerFBI agent who disappeared during a business trip to Iran.
US authorities denied that there is any exchange taking place between Amiri and three hikers and announced that since Amiri came to the US of his own volition, such an exchange is irrelevant.
According to Islamic Republic authorities, Iranian nuclear researcher, Shahram Amiri was abducted and taken to the US by the CIA with the aid of Saudi agents while he was on a pilgrimage to Mecca.
Earlier a film was released of the nuclear scientist in which he said that he had escaped US agents and was trying to return to Iran.

بنا بر گزارش خبرگزاریهای ایران، رامین مهمان پرست با بیان اینکه خروج امیری پس از تلاشهای جمهوری اسلامی و «همکاریهای موثر» سفارت پاکستان در واشنگتن میسر شده است، اعلام کرد که وی بامداد چهارشنبه آمریکا را ترک کرده تا از طریق یک «کشور ثالث» به ایران بازگردد
سخنگوی وزارت خارجه ایران به نقل از کمالوندی، معاون آمریکای وزارت خارجه تاکید کرد که امیری دارای «سلامت و آرامش» روحی است
به گزارش رویترز در همین راستا هیلاری کلینتون روز سه شنبه بیان کرد شهرام امیری «آزادانه» و با «میل» خود به آمریکا آمده است و بنابراین «آزاد» است که هر زمان خواست از این کشور برود
کلینتون همچنین از ایران خواست تا سه کوهنورد آمریکایی را آزاد کرده و نیز اطلاعاتی درخصوص «رابرت لوینسون» افسر سابق اف بی آی که در جریان یک سفر تجاری به ایران ناپدید شده است ارائه کند
مقامات آمریکایی مبادله امیری با سه آمریکایی زندانی در ایران را رد کرده و اعلام کردهاند از آنجا که امیری خودش به آمریکا آمده بود و در بازداشت آمریکا نبوده است هرگونه مبادلهای منتفی است
شهرام امیری محقق دانشگاه مالک اشتر ایران و کارشناس هستهای این کشور است که گفته میشود در جریان یک سفر زیارتی به مکه توسط «سی آی ای» و با همکاری سرویس اطلاعاتی عربستان سعودی ربوده و آمریکا برده شده بود
آمریکا و عربستان همواره این اتهام ایران رد کردهاند
پیشتر فیلمی از امیری منتشر شده بود که در آن وی اعلام کرد موفق به فرار از دست ماموران آمریکایی شده است و در تلاش برای بازگشت به ایران است
