A number of professors at Khajeh Nasireddin Toosi University in Tehran have refused to give a passing grade to men and women who have attended classes in what they describe as “bad coverings and outfits.”
Daneshjoo news reports that enforcement of strict veiling laws in universities has been exacerbated and university security have assumed “offensive” ways of confronting students regarding their outfits.
An engineering professor has refused to give a student’s final grade unless the individual signed a letter committing to strict ways of dressing and talking with other students.
The Minister of Science has recently urged the university authorities to engage people over bad veiling violations.
ILNA reports that women are required to wear loose garments and strict head coverings in university and in general refrain from revealing “the size of their bodies.”
Deputy Minister of Science also announced that men are also forbidden from wearing “tawdry” outfits including “tight and revealing T-shirts, short and tight pants that expose bare bodies during walking and moving.”
Written and oral warnings as well as suspension from university are amongst the punishments mentioned by the ministry official that could be meted out for dressing code violations.

تعدادی از استادان دانشگاه خواجه نصیر تهران از دادن نمره پایان ترم به دانشجویان دختر و پسری که به گفته آنها «بدحجاب و بدپوشش» هستند، خودداری کردهاند
به گزارش دانشجونیوز، سختگیری در مورد نحوه پوشش در این دانشگاه «شدیدتر» شده است و رفتار حراست دانشگاه درباره نحوه پوشش و روابط دانشجویان با یکدیگر «توهینآمیز» است. در ورودی دانشکدههای این دانشگاه نیز تابلوهای زیادی در رابطه با مسئله حجاب نصب شده است
گفته میشود یکی از استادهای دانشکده مکانیک این دانشگاه که یکی از معاونتهای این دانشگاه را نیز برعهده دارد، دادن نمره پایان ترم به دانشجویان را مشروط به دادن تعهدنامه درباره نحوه پوشش و روابط با سایر دانشجویان دانسته است
سختگیریها درباره نحوه پوشش دانشجویان در حالی است که کامران دانشجو، وزیر علوم، تحقیقات و فناوری اواخر خرداد ماه جاری از رئیسان دانشگاهها خواسته بود که به صورت مستقیم وارد بحث حجاب شوند و مدیریت این مسئله را به نیروهای حراست و انتظامات دانشگاه واگذار نکنند
غلامرضا خواجه سروری، معاون فرهنگی و اجتماعی وزیر علوم نیز با اعلام مصادیق پوشش و «بدحجابی» برای دانشجویان دختر و پسر گفته بود که اگر کسی از دانشجویان از این موارد تخطی کند با آنها از سوی کمیتههای انضباطی برخورد میشود
به گزارش خبرگزاری کار ایران (ایلنا)، بر اساس این آئیننامه نوع پوشش دانشجویان دختر باید به شکلی باشد که لباسها گشاد و بلند باشد و روسری یا مقنعه نیز بلند و به صورت کلی «حجم بدن زنها» را نشان ندهد
به گفته معاون وزیر علوم دانشجویان پسر نیز باید از پوشیدن لباسهایی که وی آنها را «جلف» نامیده خودداری کنند
وی افزود: «پوشیدن تیشرتهای تنگ و بدننما، شلوارهای کوتاه و تنگ که با حرکتی هم قسمتی از بدن آنها مشخص میشود، ممنوع است و مشکل قانونی دارد
این مقام مسئول تنبیه دانشجویانی که مفاد این آئیننامه را رعایت نکنند، تذکر کتبی و شفاهی و تعلیق ترم یا درس عنوان کرد
در ماههای اخیر همزمان با گرم شدن هوا سختگیریها نسبت به پوشش زنان در ایران شدت گرفتهاست
