Abbas Jafari Dowlatabadi, Tehran’s Prosecutor announced that a number of prisoners who were pardoned by the Supreme Leader were released from Evin Prison last night.
The Supreme Leader’s website reported that at the threshold of birthday of Fatemeh Zahra, daughter of Prophet Mohammad, the Supreme Leader has agreed to pardon and reduce the sentences of 81 prisoners.
Tehran’s Prosecutor sent a letter to Evin Prison warden to issue the release of pardoned prisoners.
Tehran’s Prosecutor told Fars News Agency that the pardoned prisoners are of three types: “Those who are currently in prison”, “those who are on temporary leave” and “those whose sentences are about to be carried out.”
He added that a number of prisoners were released from Evin Prison last night and those who are already on leave will also receive their release orders. According to Dowlatabadi, the sentences of a group of prisoners were also commuted.
Tehran prosecutor’s office has not sofar released the names of the 81 individuals.
The Islamic Republic customarily releases or commutes the sentences of some prisoners by the request of the Head of the Judiciary on religious occasions.
Zahra Rahnavard, wife of opposition leader, MirHosein Mousavi, urged Islamic Republic authorities on Monday to release all post-election prisoners.
While the call for release of all prisoners has been issued from many reformist leaders and groups in the past year, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Chairman of Iran’s Expediency Council and the Assembly of Experts was the first to make this call last July in the Friday Mass Prayers at Tehran University.

روز چهارشنبه سایت رهبر ایران گزارش داد که آیتالله خامنهای در آستانه تولد حضرت فاطمه، دختر پیامبر اسلام، با درخواست عفو یا تخفیف مجازات ۸۱ نفر از زندانیان حوادث بعد از انتخابات ریاست جمهوری موافقت کردهاست.
دادستان تهران روز گذشته با ارسال نامهای به رئیس زندان اوین، دستور آزادی محکومانی را که مشمول عفو رهبر ایران شدهاند، صادر کرد.
دادستان تهران در گفتوگو با خبرگزاری «فارس» زندانیان مشمول عفو را به سه گروه تقسیم کرد: «آنهایی که در زندان هستند»، «کسانی که در مرخصی به سر میبرند» و «افرادی که حکم آنها در آستانه اجرا است» او سپس خبر داد: «بخشی از کسانی که مورد عفو قرار گرفتهاند، شامگاه چهارشنبه آزاد شدهاند.»
دادستان تهران همچنین از تخفیف مدت حبس برخی دیگر از این ۸۱ نفر خبر داد و گفت: «حکم عفو به کسانی که در مرخصی هستند، ابلاغ میشود.»
دولت آبادی درباره افرادی که حکمشان در آستانهٔ اجرا است، اعلام کرده که احکام آنها اجرا نخواهد شد.
در جمهوری اسلامی هر ساله در مناسبتهای مذهبی با درخواست رئیس قوه قضائیه تعدادی از زندانیان آزاد میشوند و یا مجازاتشان کاهش پیدا میکند.
رهبر ایران پس از آن که آیتالله آملی لاریجانی، رئیس قوه قضائیه ایران با ارسال نامه حاوی اسامی ۸۱ محکوم، خواستار عفو و یا تخفیف مجازات آنها شده بود، با درخواست عفو یا تخفیف مجازات زندانیان حوادث پس از انتخابات موافقت کرد.
با این حال تا این هنگام هنوز اسامی این ۸۱ نفر که مورد عفو و تخفیف مجازات قرار گرفتهاند، اعلام نشدهاست.زهرا رهنورد، همسر میرحسین موسوی، از رهبران معترضان به دولت، روز دوشنبه دهم خرداد در بیانیهای خواسته بود زندانیانی که پس از انتخابات ریاست جمهوری زندانی شدهاند، آزاد شوند.
درخواست آزادی زندانیانی را که پس از رخدادهای انتخابات بحثبرانگیز ریاست جمهوری بازداشت شده بودند؛ نخستین بار آیتالله اکبر هاشمی رفسنجانی، رئیس مجلس خبرگان و رئیس مجمع تشخیص مصلحت نظام به طور رسمی در نماز جمعه ۲۶ تیر ۱۳۸۸ در دانشگاه تهران مطرح کرده بود

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
