A number of students have been suspended from university for “one or two terms” because of their “improper Hijab” (Islamic attire); an Allameh Tabatabai University official announced.
Mehr News Agency reported today that Ghader Parviz announced that “disregard” of warnings about “hijab” has led to the suspension of several students, the number of which he cannot disclose due to regulations.
He remarked that the number of Hijab violations has increased in the past year and added: “Every week people are being summoned to the disciplinary committees of the university.”
In recent weeks, the Ministry of Science and Technolgy issued a directive to all universities to enforce stricter confrontation with those in violation of proper Islamic dress codes.
Iranian universities, which have acted as a beacon keeping the fire of election protests alive in the past year, are being hit with a conservative backlash from the Islamic Republic government.

یک مقام دانشگاه علامه طباطبایی اعلام کرد برخی از دانشجویان «بدحجاب» این دانشگاه «یک تا دو ترم» از تحصیل محروم شدهاند
به گزارش امروز یکشنبه خبرگزاری مهر، قادر پریز، معاون دانشجویی و فرهنگی دانشگاه علامه طباطبایی گفت این احکام دانشجویان، به خاطر «بیاعتنایی» آنها به تذکرات مسئولان دانشگاه مبنی بر رعایت حجاب، صادر شده است.
آقای پریز افزود دهها دانشجوی دیگر این دانشگاه نیز به خاطر «بدحجابی» به کمیته انضباطی احضار شده و تذکر دریافت کردهاند
.
این مقام دانشگاه علامه طباطبایی اظهار داشت: «به دلیل محرمانه بودن آمار و ارقام در کمیته انضباطی، امکان اعلام تعداد دقیق دانشجویان احضار شده وجود ندارد.»
قادر پریز با اشاره به اینکه در طول یکسال گذشته، تعداد این دانشجویانی که احضار شدهاند بسیار زیاد بوده است، افزود: «هر هفته افرادی به کمیته انضباطی احضار میشوند.»
طرح مبارزه با بدحجابی از اواخر اردیبهشت ماه از سوی حراست وزارت علوم، تحقیقات و فناوری به دانشگاهها و موسسات آموزش عالی ابلاغ شده است.
در این ابلاغیه بر اهمیت بحث رعایت حجاب و عفاف در دانشگاهها و در راستای اجرایی شدن مصوبه شورای عالی انقلاب فرهنگی، تاکید شده است.
این طرح در شرایطی ابلاغ میشود که در هفتههای اخیر برخی مسئولان فرهنگی و سیاسی خواستار جدیت حراست در برخورد با بدحجابان در دانشگاهها شدهاند.
هفته گذشته نیز مصطفی خسروی، مدیرکل حراست دانشگاه تهران از منع ورود افراد بدحجاب به دانشگاه تهران، اجبار مقنعه در برخی دانشکدههای این دانشگاه و برخورد با دانشجویان پسر «بدحجاب» در دانشگاه خبر داده بود.
خسروی گفته است کسانی که در دانشگاهها از پوشش نامناسب استفاده کنند، به کمیته انضباطی احضار خواهند شد
