People of Khoramshahr, a south western city of Iran, disrupted Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s speech with chants of “Unemployment! Unemployment!”
Ahmadinejad had travelled to Khoramshahr today for the anniversary of the liberation of the city during the Iran-Iraq War.
ISNA reports that protesters also protested during the speeches of the provincial officials chanting “We are unemployed!”
ISNA went on to say that Ahmadinejad reacted to these slogans saying: “The government is at your service and with the grace of God with widespread planning the roots of unemployment in the Province of Khouzestan will be destroyed.”

Ahmadinejad also said: “The government will work tirelessly alongside the people of Khouzestan until the province reaches is full potential.”
Khouzestan struggles with a 25 percent unemployment rate and a growing inflation.
Increasing rate of unemployment due to the closure of small production units and some big factories has raised the concerns of workers and a number of Islamic Republic officials.
Alireza Mahjoub, secretary general of House of Workers, announced in April that two thousand production units are faced with financial crises and every year on average “200 thousand workers” are being laid off.
He went on to add that the government plan to end subsidies will exacerbate this situation.
Iranian Employment Minister announced that Iran’s unemployment rate stands at 11.3 percent while The Economist magazine puts Iran’s unemployment rate at 13.2 percent.

اعتراض به میزان ‘بیکاری’ در دیدار احمدی نژاد از خرمشهر
در جریان سخنرانی محمود احمدی نژاد در خرمشهر، شرکت کنندگان با سر دادن شعار “بیکاری، بیکاری” از رئیس دولت خواستند تا برای کاهش میزان بیکاری تلاش
کند.
به گزارش خبرگزاری کار ایران (ایلنا)، روز دوشنبه سوم خرداد (۲۴ مه) آقای احمدی نژاد که به مناسبت روز سوم خرداد به این شهر جنوب غربی ایران سفر کرده است، در برابر شعارهای شرکت کنندگان گفت: “با برنامه ریزی گسترده و با همت جوانان خرمشهر و خوزستان، ریشه بیکاری در خوزستان از بین خواهد رفت.”
شهر خرمشهر در سوم خرداد سال ۱۳۶۱ پس از ۵۷۸ روز اشغال توسط ارتش عراق، آزاد شد و پس از آن در ایران هر ساله سوم خرداد به عنوان روز “فتح خرمشهر” گرامی داشته می شود.
خرمشهر یکی از شهرهای اصلی استان نفت خیز خوزستان در جنوب است که در طول سالهای جنگ ایران و عراق به علت قرار گرفتن در مرز مشترک دو کشور صدمات فراوانی دید و مدت ها در اشغال ارتش عراق بود.
با پایان گرفتن جنگ ایران و عراق در ۲۷ تیر ۱۳۶۷بازسازی این شهر آغاز شد اما با دور شدن از زمان جنگ ایران و عراق، نحوه بازسازی این شهر، میزان بالای بیکاری و کمبود امکانات در این منطقه نفت خیز همواره موضوع بحث بوده است.
تجمع کارگران فولاد میبد یزد
همزمان با اعتراض به میزان بیکاری در دیدار آقای احمدی نژاد از خرمشهر، گزارش ها از تجمع کارگران شرکت فولاد میبد در اعتراض به آنچه “پرداخت نشدن حقوق و معوقات” خوانده شده است، حکایت دارد.
به گزارش خبرگزاری دانشجویان ایران (ایسنا) کارگران شرکت فولاد سازی میبد امروز (دوشنبه سوم خرداد ،۲۴ مه) در مقابل ساختمان فرمانداری شهر میبد تجمع کردند.
بنابر این گزارش، کارگران تجمع کننده مدعی شده اند که حقوق آنها برای پنج ماه پرداخت نشده است.
همچنین کارگران به تعطیلی چهار ماهه این کارخانه که گفته می شود به علت “نقص فنی در کوره بلند” آن روی داده است، معترض شده اند و علت آن را “بی کفایتی سهامداران جدید” عنوان کرده اند.
‘اعتراض به کار بدون دستمزد’
در خبری دیگر از اعتراض کارگران به آنچه “عدم پرداخت حقوق و معوقات” یاد می شود، خبر داده شده است. گزارش ها از شکایت قانونی کارگران کارخانه صنایع فلزی 1 در اسلامشهر تهران حکایت دارد.
به گزارش ایلنا، کارگران صنایع فلزی 1 در اعتراض به دریافت نکردن حقوق “شش ماه گذشته” خود به اداره کار اسلامشهر (واقع در جنوب تهران) اعتراض کردند.
بنابراین گزارش، کارگران می گویند که حقوق ماه های خرداد و تیر و همچنین ماه های بهمن و اسفند سال ۸۸ را هنوز دریافت نکرده اند و در دو ماه گذشته از سال ۱۳۸۹ هم حقوقی به آنها پرداخت نشده است.
‘تشکل های کارگری ایران در مقابل دولت’
در ماه های گذشته و در پی افزایش اعتراض کارگران اخراج شده از کارخانه ها در ایران، چند تشکل کارگری در ایران اعلام کرده اند که برای پیگیری خواسته های 
کارگران از سازمان تامین اجتماعی، با یکدیگر متحد می شوند.
بنابر گزارش خبرگزاری کارگران ایران، کانون هماهنگی شوراهای اسلامی کار استان تهران، کانون کارگران بازنشسته و مستمری بگیران سازمان تامین اجتماعی، حزب اسلامی رفاه کارگران و جامعه اسلامی کارگران هدف اتحاد خود را برون رفت از وضع موجود سازمان تامین اجتماعی اعلام کرده اند.
تشکل های کارگری خواهان اتحاد کارگران برای پیگیری اعتراضات خود به دولت و سازمان تامین اجتماعی، در شمار تشکل هایی هستند که توسط نهاد های رسمی متولی امور کارگران در ایران به رسمیت شناخته شده اند.
در سال های گذشته تشکل های مستقل کارگری و رهبران کارگران معترض همواره از سوی دستگاه های امنیتی ایران تحت فشار قرار گرفته اند و گروهی از رهبران تشکل های مستقل کارگری در زندان به سر می برند.
