University of Tehran Students Summoned to Investigations Office

Following Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s surprise visit to the University of Tehran on May 1, 2010 and the protests by students against his visit on the same day, 30 students were summoned to the Security Ministry Investigations Office for questioning.

There is no word on some of the students who were summoned to the Investigations Office, which has raised speculation that they may have been arrested.

On May 1, 2010, Maryam Abbasinejad, a previous member of the University of Tehran’s Islamic union was arrested by forces and transferred to Evin prison.

After arresting Abbasinejad, inspectors from the Investigations Office phoned her husband and went over to their home and performed an illegal investigation.

A large group of students from the University of Tehran were also summoned to the Investigations Office in August 2009 and December 7, 2009.

  14. One thing I’ve noticed is always that there are plenty of common myths regarding the financial institutions intentions whenever talking about property foreclosure. One fairy tale in particular is the fact that the bank prefers to have your house. The financial institution wants your hard earned money, not your property. They want the cash they loaned you with interest. Steering clear of the bank will draw a new foreclosed conclusion. Thanks for your write-up.
