According to Mohammad Ali Ramin, Etemaad newspaper has been temporarily banned from publication and must wait for the press court to rule its final verdict in regards to the newspaper’s repeated “law violations”.
“We have not received anything in writing; however, I think the ban is related to warnings the newspaper had received in the past”, said Elyas Hazrati.
Etemaad managing director expressed hope that the temporary ban would be soon lifted and announced that Etemaad will not be on newsstands tomorrow.
Other news indicate that in addition to Etemaad, Iran-dokht weekly has also been banned from publication.
